On Thursday, Febrary 24, 2011 United For A Sustainable America and Event Creative teamed up to host the first annual Chicago Green Business Summit. The event, held at Venue One, brought like-minded businesses of all kinds together to discuss and explore different ways to make Chicago an even greener place.
UFASA organizes Green Business Summits across the country to provide an outlet for businesses members of the business community seeking to learn strategies for taking advantage of the economic opportunities which accompany the green business revolution.
The Chicago Green Business Summit featured esteemed speakers from multiple backgrounds such as Governor Pat Quinn and Keynote Speaker Tim Carey, Director for Sustainability and Technology for PepsiCo. The Summit featured a full day trade exhibition punctuated by three panel discussions focusing on Financing the Green Revolution, Disruptive Technologies, and Corporate Sustainability.
United for a Sustainable America (UFASA ) is a nonprofit sustainability education group that has been hosting Green Business Summits throughout the country. Its aim is to help green and renewable vendors, products, companies, and key figures to converge onto the “green platform” and help to accelerate the green movement.
